Entro teca di legno e plexiglas sono fissate alla base due immagini ritagliate a mo' di marionette: sulla destra un uomo baffuto e sulla sinistra un bambino. La figura dell'uomo è formata da due parti; sul davanti si trova la sua sagoma bianca con il testo scritto in nero e in corsivo: "Where / there is no / death because / there is no time / and no body, / and we live / blissfully [...] / in the im- / mortal company / of those we love.. / Mon petit Auguste, / you have ferreted[...] me out, / or my shadow, it will / never leave you now.. & / have taken you by the hand / and walked with you in the park- / just to talk and dream – a yel- / low butterfly and death.. Don't / be afraid of the old man – he is / as old as time, mon petit frère, / and will find out every clue to / your life as he did mine. In / that piece of paper – just your / inner side, my dear, your / inner living. It is in / the celestial balance, our / life on the one side, orange / leaves on the other.. darkness / enfolds [...] us in an embrace.. / Do you see how the yellow / light trambles [...] on that / bit of wall? / Ah, my dear, / it is memory, / dyind. Just this, that / I have become - & / you also are becom- / ing – that sheet of paper" mentre dietro c'é la sua sagoma con la fotografia in bianco e nero. La sagoma del bambino é bianca con il testo nero in corsivo: "Why / must I wait / here alone? / Mikey & Annie / think it is / funny, but I'm / afraid. Monsieur / Marcel, what is the old man reaching / for? / is it evidence? / is / it about me? Please, Mon- / sieur Marcel, tell me, / why are you watching / him like that? Is it / something of your's? / Is it dying? We were / playing in the park / when I saw him .. What / do you see, you are / so happy.. I like / to be with you. It / helps me remember.. / Can we stay always / in the park? / They are / calling to / me, but / I want / to wait / and see / what the / Old Man / is..". All' interno della teca, sulla destra, si trova la sagoma della figura maschile ritagliata e dipinta con pennellate di colore acrilico giallo, bianco, arancione, verde, azzurro e rosa. Il pavimento e il soffitto della teca sono coperti dalle stesse pennellate corpose. All'interno della teca, sulla sinistra, si trova una foto in bianco e nero ritagliata di una bambina ed un bambino. Lo sfondo frontale è coperto da una foto a colori, sfocata, di un signore anziano con un cappello tra alberi degli stessi colori delle pennellate di acrilico. […] [Testo parzialmente illegibile]
