Bibliography
Cesare Pietroiusti (Rome, 1955) graduated in Medicine in 1979 with a thesis in Clinical Psychiatry. He has always juggled between linguistic experimentation and conceptual reflection. Pietroiusti is known for his practice based on generosity, on the paradoxes of ordinary actions and economic exchanges, including the refusal to sell his works, and for having contributed to the creation of numerous groups, research spaces and collective projects. The frequentation of Sergio Lombardo has been crucial for the artist in the development of his interest in art. In fact, it was in Lombardo’s space that Pietroiusti participated in his first exhibition in 1977, a group show entitled Quattro artisti inediti.
